The minimum offer sheet that Laine would sign and the Jets may not match would be 5 years at over 9 per.
This costs the team 2-1rst, a 2nd and a 3rd.

On Buffalo the equivalent to that is a trade for Reinhardt, Cozens a 2nd and a 3rd. How is this hard to realize? Do that or give the picks? Also how do you or anyone fit over 9 million under your cap without trading anyone?

I'm not a fan of Risto at all but calling him awful is laughable.

He's a 40+ point, 2nd pairing guy who plays too much. He's above average.

First guy says his current value is low, so let him sit. Second guy says if he sits his value gets lower.

How does that not make sense? His trade value certainly isn't going up if he misses a season.

You own his rights for 5 years but that doesnt mean they will be worth anything if you seriously plan on letting him sit out that long. Its in the jets best interest to end all this drama and move on to worrying about the regular season.
